BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The business of the Association is conducted by the Board of Directors, which is elected each year. Board members are required to act in good faith when undertaking the duties and responsibilities of their position.
The Board of Directors is made up of:
The President:
Responsible for the general supervision of the affairs of the Association, duties include being the Chairperson of the Board of Directors and representing the Association on the University Council
Eight (8) Directors:
Responsible for representing and acting for the members of the Association in all matters in which members as a group are interested, duties include promoting the welfare of all members of the Association, enhancing the educational, cultural, social and sporting life of the members of the Association, and protecting the civil liberties and individual freedoms of Association members.

The Vice-President:
Responsible for supporting the Board of Directors in their activities, duties include undertaking any Presidential duties in the absence of the President, ensuring all meetings and forums of the Association are properly notified and publicised, and responding to members' enquires in accordance with the rules;
The Vice-President Maori:
Responsible for representing the Association at Maori forums both locally and nationally, duties include undertaking any Presidential duties in the absence of the President, providing opportunities for members of the Board to engage with kaupapa Maori, ensuring that the Associations strategic plans take into account the view of Maori, and providing leadership to the Board in advocating for Maori;Eight (8) Directors:
