ABOUT WSU
The Waikato Students’ Union Incorporated has been representing the interests of its members since 1977. With more than 10,000 members we have significant bargaining power, and all our services are available to all students of the University of Waikato.
The WSU is your voice in the University machine. The WSU represents your interests and advocates for your rights. The WSU fights to make sure you get the best possible education and have the best possible time doing it.
The WSU provides many services which benefit you, your friends and your community. These include:
• University Games
• Student Job Search
• Local events and activities
• Student advocacy
• Nexus
• Support for clubs
• Hardship assistance
• Orientation festivals
• Tickets to concerts
• Student discounts on a variety of items
You can easily get involved if you want to. Come to our events, our meetings. Be interested in your community, your environment, your education. We want you to have a first class education, and a first class university experience. Help us make that happen for you. We are very approachable, and welcome your contribution.
Regards
David West
