Publishers need not reproduce copies of these works for preservation; these works have indefinite lifespan if readers continue to advocate them. Scholars and writers have written exceptional works which still give lesson to the generations. Like timeless tales, these written works possess characteristics which are not frozen and limited only in a particular period of time.
Essay do not need deconstruction for readers to interpret. They are direct, objective and formal in a way that most thinkers will be able to comprehend right away. It conveys the message directly. Although authors lived in a particular period of time, their works remain a legacy.
Educators should further more encourage students to engage themselves in reading and writing, and appreciating what late thinkers left for them. It is the educators’ responsibility to inculcate these timeless works to the minds of their students. To do this, educators may
1. Give reading assignments such as reflection or reaction paper on classic works by Ademine Virginia Woolf, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and even Abraham Lincoln. The works by these people are historical in nature.
2. Assign written reports which require fewer words but more content.
3. Conduct a film showing of a classical or historical event and assign a reaction paper.
4. Organize an educational field trip and require each student to submit a written report.
