Who are we and what do we do for you?
It's easy to get a little confused by titles like advocacy and hardship. People often wonder what exactly we do and whether or not they are eligible for help.
The reality is that our advocates are here for you, the Waikato Students' Association Members.
We will act on your behalf when dealing with members of the faculty or mediating disputes.
We will point you in the right direction whenever you need to find information relating to your studies, potential scholarships, your life on campus or your life outside of campus.
Of all the things we do perhaps the one we do best and most frequently is just be here. Our advocates have been students themselves and they know better than anyone that sometimes all you need is someone to listen to what's going on and to offer advice without judgement. Our advocacy team can be the mate you have a chat to or the people you come to when you need to make some major changes to your situation.
